so i'm sitting in this teleconference
it's not something that concerns me directly, so really, i should just go back to my desk and get some work done.
on the other hand, i can sit here, read blogs and even take a moment to post something because i've got nothing to contribute to this particular conversation.
then again, i'm kinda hungry because i ran out of the house without eating breakfast. and i've pretty much finished slurping up my morning beverage (transported in a stainless steel starbucks mug, allowing a full two hours for proper cooling off, thus preventing another episode of unpleasant tongue-burning).

[twiddles thumbs and taps keyboard for about five minutes trying to decide whether or not to be productive]
[checks bloglines for new posts to read]
[checks all personal e-mail accounts each for the umpteenth time]
[checks work e-mail to see if there are any immediate action items that need to be taken care of right this minute...nothing]
[twiddles thumbs for five more minutes]

crap. teleconference ended early.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you might work in my office too.
Been there done that.
The only bad thing is that now, the only teleconference I have to take part in is kind of organized by me. I have to play social butterfly and I fucking hate that.
