we're not all imeldas
i was doing my shopping at the filipino grocery & i saw a woman with these shoes on today.
they bothered me. they were ugly & pretentious. (not that i have anything against expensive shoes in general...i think it's reasonable to pay a higher price to get something of higher quality.)
there are plenty of non-gaudy shoes out there that don't have the coach logo stamped all over with weird, contrasting sheepskin trim.
they just seem totally impractical. but maybe she's just that rich & important to merit the purchase of impractical shoes.
i highly doubt it, though. the sort of rich & important people i'm thinking about probably wouldn't deign to do their own grocery shopping. especially not in the middle of pinoy suburbia. but then again, i don't know any rich & important people. (important, maybe, but not rich.)
i come from pinoy suburbia, after all.

I didn't know Coach made shoes. Clearly, they should stop.
